| Elvina is a dual PhD Candidate in Biomedical Sciences at Qatar University and RCSI Dublin. Her doctoral research investigates the impact of mammary adipose tissue dysfunction on breast cancer progression, with a focus on patients with obesity and insulin resistance. Bringing a strong foundation in Biomedical Science (BSc, Keele University) and Medical Science & Clinical Pharmacology (MSc, University of Glasgow), she possesses hands-on experience in translational, proof-of-concept work. This experience includes a wide range of in vitro techniques, as well as direct involvement in clinical research protocols— including patient recruitment and surgical sample collection. She looks forward to engaging with participants in hands-on exercises and fostering discussions on the future of precision medicine research. |
