| Salima Shebbo is a Ph.D. candidate in Biomedical Sciences at Qatar University, where she investigates how mechanical cues in the colorectal tumor microenvironment shape disease progression and response to therapy. Previously, she worked in the Vaccine and Immunotherapy Unit at King Abdulaziz University’s medical research center in Saudi Arabia, contributing to the design of an oncolytic cancer vaccine and SARS-CoV-2 vaccine candidates, and she has first- and co-authored peer-reviewed publications. Salima earned an M.Sc. in Cell and Molecular Biology from Beirut Arab University, where her thesis examined a natural-product–based strategy to mitigate hepatic injury associated with colorectal cancer. She also holds a B.Sc. in Biology from the same institution. In addition to her research, Salima serves as a guest reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals. |
