Radja Messai Badji, PhD

Dr. Radja leads the national efforts to translate genomic research into clinical and public health applications, focusing on building frameworks for the return of genetic findings, pharmacogenomics, and population-based precision health initiatives.

With over fifteen years of international experience in biomedical informatics, genomics, and translational research, Dr. Badji has worked across academic, healthcare, and research institutions to promote the ethical and effective integration of genomic data into healthcare systems.

She holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s in Clinical Informatics from the University of Joseph Fourier (France), a Master’s in Public Health from Lille University (France), and a degree in Computer Engineering from Algeria. Since joining Qatar Genome in 2017, she has contributed to shaping Qatar’s precision health strategy, leading projects that bridge research and clinical implementation, and fostering collaborations to advance genomic medicine in the region.
